Good Friday evening, my friends. Oh, what a week it has been. They say when it rains it pours, but I say when God pours, He pours abundantly. I’ve shared with most of you that I meet with a group of lovely ladies at my local McDonald’s for breakfast and Bible study, and it has been a truly uplifting experience. It’s wonderful to connect with faithful women who share my passion for the Lord. Well, recently I noticed that my checking account balance was adding up, but not in a good way. My card had been hacked, and someone had made purchases totaling over $200 at McDonald’s over a period of two months. Can you believe it? Five purchases in one day, with one of them being $47 and some change. Of course, the McDonald’s lady that takes our order. knew it wasn’t me, as I always order just a biscuit and bring my own drink. I’m so grateful that we were able to resolve the issue, at my bank. Then, today, I received news that my blog had been removed due to a late hosting fee payment. I had to call them and explain my situation, they didn’t remind me via email as they had over the past 15 years. So, I couldn’t help but wonder if it was time to let the blog go. But I knew I couldn’t do that. This blog, along with my Facebook page, has been a source of comfort and motivation for me since my mother’s passing. Her passing was the very reason I’m here posting. It helped me a b my time of grief. At one point, it even generated a decent income to supplement my Social Security. Although it’s not as successful as it once was, I’m committed to keeping it going. The only way the blog makes money now is through advertiser clicks and purchases. I’ve never asked you to buy anything, and I won’t start now. However, I do have my own shop with Amazon products that I love and use regularly. Please feel free to check it out if you’re in need of anything from hair products to skin care to washable rugs. The blog will be moving to a new hosting company with better prices, but you shouldn’t notice any disruptions. I encourage you to visit daily and check out the ads and post. Who knows, you might find something that blesses you. My goal is to provide content that inspires and uplifts you. While my personal life may not be the most exciting, my testimony is a true blessing. I’m learning to navigate life on my own, and while finances are tight, I’m trusting God to provide. My monthly mortgage is over half of my income, but I’m determined to make it work. I’ve learned to cut back on unnecessary expenses and have even reduced my power bill by $100 a month. I’m still recovering from laryngitis and the flu, but I’m grateful for your prayers. The contract on my house fell through because I refused to pay for a new AC unit when the current one still works. My surgeon has moved up my hip replacement surgery consult to January 13, and I’m a bit apprehensive. I’m not a fan of being put to sleep, but I know it’s necessary. I’m also excited to share that I have a part-time job offer at Ace Hardware, which I’ll likely accept soon. Every little bit counts when you’re on your own. I wish you all a wonderful weekend, despite the wet weather. God bless you, and thank you for being part of this blog. I’m here for a reason, and I’m grateful for your support. Remember, the blog is a more private space for me to share my thoughts and experiences, so I appreciate your understanding. Have a wonderful weekend, and I’ll see you soon.
Love, ❤️
Debbie
