Hello to all of you, it’s a bright sunny morning here in Alabama, but very cold. The leaves have all fallen from the trees, it actually looks so quiet, if you know what I mean. Yet sad at the same time. I’m spending more and more time in the word, less time on Facebook as they got to the point they were not showing our post to many at all. It takes an enormous for me personally to find the right post daily. I spent hours each week doing that for my followers and for facebook to allow 80 out of 12,000 to see them was a slap in the face.

I know so many of you that do not have what is called a fan/business pg. might not understand but it is simple. Facebook, google, many of them limit what we can not do, say, share, on these type pages. We my partners and I on the blog here had already been talking and trying to figure out if we were even going to keep the blog, the ads, and do any giveaways in 2020. Many loved them and we gave away 142 items during 2020, so congratulations to all the winners.

Maybe the break will help, maybe FB will be forced to allow free speech on pages like ours, I don’t know but, for sure allow ALL those that want to see the post to be able to. Those that do not want to see them may unlike the page or unfollow. That will take care of that. When I started this after my Mother’s death, it was a life saver for me. I loved it, I still love it, sharing, giving others HOPE where there seems to be none at times. But, things need to change for sure. Time will tell and until then I’ll be right here, sharing HOPE, love, and reconnecting with me, we have to refuel and do that as we get a little older you know, slow down and reconnect with God, our inner selves and show some love and kindness to us. Any thoughts, ladies?

Love,

Debbie

  1. Hi Debbie,

I haven’t been on Facebook much the past week with all of the things I needed to do for Christmas. It comes whether we are ready or not! Just getting caught up and enjoying your beautiful photos you have shared.

As for the posts, I have noticed when I am not in Facebook as much, and not interacting as much with your page and others, I see less of your posts. It’s so sad. If I didn’t want to follow and see your posts, I could unfollow you. It’s not right that they decide that for us based on our interaction. Things come up in life and sometimes we can’t interact for a few days. That doesn’t mean we aren’t still interested!

Thank you for all of the giveaways you shared! I didn’t win but I am thankful for the chance to try. Enjoy this season of healing and self-care.

    Best wishes,
    Theresa

    1. I looked and couldnt find you. I tried at Home with Debbie, and Debbie Reynolds. Is there another name I should look for?

  5. It’s a shame that Facebook will allow all the negativity, but won’t let your positive messages reach people who WANT it. Sad… I am thankful for your posts of kindness and positivity. God bless!

  6. I will continue to follow you also whether you have giveaways or not. I may need to un delete my MeWe lol. Happy New Year!

  7. So many people are having problems with FB., Debbie! I wish they would just leave you alone and let you do your posting! I don’t get why they continue to do these things to you! I will miss your uplifting posts, but I will go to your blog! 2020 has been a very difficult year for sure! I’ve lost three precious friends ( not to the virus) and several family members have had the virus but are doing well now! Praise God! I hope your Christmas was wonderful! Happy New Year and a healthy one at that!! Love you sweet fb friend!🙏❤️

    1. FB, is not what so many think. I am so sick of it and their games with who can say what. What can be seen and their political views are sickening to me.But, I believe they are some sick folks in this country that have much evil deeds to hide. They want to keep on doing those evil deeds too.

  8. I enjoy your blog & all of your posts on Facebook. I also get your blog by email. Whether you continue the giveaways or not won’t change my loyalty. Pray on this & do what the Lord says is best. ❤️

  9. I understand you. Whatever you decide to do will be ok with me. I have made many new dear friends from reading your blog and that includes you ,of course. Thank you for sharing all your posts and blog too. Love Marilyn

  10. Debbie, have you considered moving to MeWe? I really don’t think it woyld take long for your folliwers to follow you there. I joined, its similar to facebook withouth the fact checkers and shadowbanning. They promote free speech.

You mught jyst want to check into it…
    Melanie
