Who says at the age of 68 we can’t still have the best skin possible for our age? Yes, indeed who said that? Today was a cold day in Alabama. I decided to wash and condition my hair with a conditioning mask from Moroccan oil certainly make sure the hair feels so soft and smells delicious. I wink all of my products below. Then I decided to treat myself to a home spa facial. I bought the steamer from Amazon, which I also linked below. I’ve started doing this once a week it’s advisable to wash your face before, the steamer and to wash your face again for any impurities after the steamer then I pat my skin dry and I use a mask I’ll link below the mask that I use and why I have dry skin so this mask was specifically chosen for that, none of these products are expensive and yes, I have noticed my skin feels smoother softer plumper and fresher simply by doing this 50-minute treatment on my skin from start to finish once a week.
For hair care, I use Moroccan oil, volumizing shampoo, and the Moroccan oil mask. I just put a bag plastic bag over my head and let the mask seep in for about a While I go about my day as usual. Sometimes I will even read a book and just relax. Once the 40 minutes to an hour, then I rinse my hair and I don’t blow it dry I let it dry on its own even though my hair is very curly, and I love to blow it out I don’t on a mask day! I try not to blow dry my hair much in the winter months. After my hair is dry, I use the Terry cloth headband to pull my hair completely away from my face and wash m face with a Vitamin C cleanser, I then get out the steamer and fill it with warm water normally I stand up. Sometimes I do sit down. I hold a clean, lightweight towel over my head and for 10 minutes I let the steam penetrate all over my face, forehead, and neck. Once the steamer is empty I go back to the sink and wash my face again I pad it dry and then I add my mask I have chosen from Amazon a mask that is for dry skin I’ll link all of these products as I said earlier below.
Once that’s finished and I’ve padded my face dry from the second wash, I add caffeine by original under the eyes by, Original. I then use my skincare products like Birman C cream and I always allow it to dry then add cold-pressed RoseHip. oil, it helps carry the product deeper into your skin penetrating for much. You may Google this just for your self but trust me these Carrier oils, most assuredly do help penetrate all products that you put on your body I’ve been using them for a long, long time.. I hope that you have all had a good day. I just made the best of mine. I baked some homemade bread while in the middle of doing a little pampering for myself, and just made the most of this Wednesday. I hope you did the same talk.

At 68 it is never too late for us to look our best, and keep our skin and hair nourished
Beautiful you certainly reap the benefits of yr spa day❤️
You are beautiful Debbie, your spa day is certainly paying off. I don’t take the time to treat my skin like I should, I need to start doing that. Thank you for sharing Debbie!
Cheryl, it takes less than one hour once a week for this steam facial and the products. Any product you like this makes it work better. But, buy some rosehip oil from Amazon it is not expensive and always add a thin layer over your creams it is a carrier oil and help carry the products you use deeper into your skin. 🙂 do it for YOU!
Thanks for sharing this, Debbie….coming up to my 73rd birthday in March and both my skin and hair could use the help…lol! My problem is that I’m great at starting these routines but my follow-through is lacking 😛
Linda, I am only 68 and I’m there too. Thyroid issues and dry hair and skin are NO fun. I work at it a lot. I hope you do a little self pampering.
Thanks for the tips and recommendations! Now what I need is a recommendation on how to prevent hair loss and products to help regrow my hair! 😊
Hi Debbie, thanks for sharing your beauty tips with us! We all need a friend like you 💞
You are most welcome and I consider you a friend 🩷
I don’t do much of that anymore. !. I can’t afford it and . I’m 84 and and feel it’s a waste of time. I have used Oil of Olay all my life and my skin is soft and smooth. No wrinkles. LOL
Well you have stayed with oil Of Olay and it has been a good thing for you! Way to go.. and looking good in your 80’s matters. If I make it to my 80’s I pray I’m able to do these things for myself. Have a great day
Thanks for the information! You look great! I will definitely look into these.
Debbie, you deserve to pamper yourself. You are a beautiful lady.
Mary, we all do my sweet friend in ways that make us happy. Just here and there.
Thanks so much for the tips and product recommendations. I am 66 years old and due to some health issues; my skin has changed drastically for the worse. My skin definitely needs a lot of pampering now. Your recommendation for the steamer was a deciding factor for me to order one. I have been on the fence about it.
Rhonda, I do not recommend but once a week and I do it for 10 minutes. I place the towel over my head to catch ALL the steam, or as much as I can. Be sure to wash your face before and after, then use COLD water or cold face cloth. Then apply your favorite moisturizer. I do the mask then use the cold soft face cloth, then my vitamin C let it sit for a few minutes and always the Rosehip Oil (cold pressed) after that. You just tap that on to carry your other skincare deeper.Rosehip is a carrier oil, there are others as well Choose one you like this is for dry skin. By the third or fourth time you will see a nice difference. You will see and feel a difference the first time. Let me know after a few uses ok
Oh I love my spa days! My daughter bought me a facial steamer & I’m obsessed with it! In a way, I feel like I rid myself of all the negativity and start all fresh & new! I’m so happy you talked about this! It’s so important for us to show love to ourselves in every way we can ❤️
Debie, thank you for sharing that you also love your facial steamer. It really does radiate and even soothe the skin. Hydration is key at my age and I do not drink enough water, this does help me a lot. I highly recommend it that is why I wanted to share with my followers here today. Many do not know what they are missing, and they are not expensive. They can be but mine was around 40.00 and well worth that, some even cheaper.
Debbie, now I know why and how you always look so young, refreshed and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your products and methods that you use. You definitely do not look like you’re 68!!
Thank you, I have found the Ordinary products are not expensive and they work well. You just have to find the ones best for your skin type
I really need to do this. My skin is so dry and it changed about 2 years ago. The texture I guess is what I’m trying to say plus wrinkles. But feeling bad every day, I wonder if I would have the energy to do this. But I am contemplating trying this. I’ll let you know.
Please let us know the steaming alone makes a huge difference but washing your skin before and after and using products good for your skin type afterwards is key!
Hi Debbie,
Sounds like a well-deserved day. Little pampering never hurt anyone. Your links did not show up in your post.
Hope you have a wonderful day.
Blessings,
Mary
I shared the products and they came from Amazon I can link them I’ll do that so check back with ok
Good to take the time to pamper ourselves. Enjoy!
It is good thing and once a week is on both is all you need
It’s so important to take care of ourselves, so we can then take care of others!
You’re right, and just a little
Home pampering can make a big difference.
There’s nothing better than having a me day, as I call it, whatever it may be. It’s such a great feeling. Enjoy the rest of your day.❤️
Thank you, Roberta!
