The Best Chocolate Chunk Cookies-

Ingredients

I spent part of my afternoon baking for Mr Shabby to take to work tomorrow. One of his crew members had a Birthday and doesn’t like cake but loves Chocolate chunk cookies!

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 11.5 oz package of Nestlé’s tollhouse, chocolate chunks, dark chocolate or milk chocolate your option
  • 1 cup chopped nuts I use pecans

Preheat oven to 375º F.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chunks and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan. Prepare dough as above. Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack. Makes 4 dozen bars.

  3. We love chocolate chip cookies! I made chocolate cupcakes for my granddaughter’s 25th birthday yesterday and she said they were some of best I’ve made! Made my day! So nice of you to make cookies for one of Mr.Shabby’s co-workers!

  4. These cookies sound good Debbie, I bought chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and white macadamia chips before Christmas. I need to use at least some of them up. I have got pretty lazy lately, don’t feel like doing much of anything. I go for an injection in my back on Friday, I hope and pray I’ll be able to get around better afterward.
